Var de ens i samma stad? 1


Efter bomberna i Moskva verkar läget vara något förvirrat – åtminstone på tidningsredaktionerna. Så här beskrivs stämningen i The New York Times:

The two explosions spread panic throughout the capital as people searched for missing relatives and friends, and the authorities tried to determine whether more attacks were planned.

I The Economist läser man istället:

Russia’s emergency services appeared to be working in an orderly and co-ordinated way, cordoning off only the areas immediately affected by the explosions. Other metro lines remained open, with trains running regularly. There was a striking absence of panic in the capital, but no immediate sense of public numbness; ordinary commuters went on with their daily routines.

Var reportrarna ens i samma stad? Eller är det helt enkelt så att med 10 miljoner invånare drabbades några av panik, som NYT-reportern träffade, medan andra behöll sitt lugn…

Ytterligare ett dagsord är zamach bombowy – bombattentat.
