Today we have exhausted ourselves preparing for Wigilia tomorrow.
I visited Edinburgh last weekend to try some whisky and meet up with my old PhD-colleagues Martin, Martin and Stina and our old supervisor. Edinburg is a very photogenic city, but there seem to be some pictures that are more or less mandatory – like the one above over the […]
Went for a cycle trip on the levee along Vistula today. It was a bit chilly, but a nice day anyway. The last couple of weeks rain combined with snow-melting in the mountains has really made the river grow.
Our local cemetary on All saints evening 2009. In Poland they like putting out grave lights on All saints. It makes for nice pictures. This year it was raining the whole evening, so I post this photo from a few years back instead.
Jotunheimen, probably Norway’s most famous national park, like its (almost) namesake is rugged and mountainous, although the giant-population seems to be quite sparse. In the south-west of the park the mountain-range Hurrungane contains some of Norway’s most recognised alpine peaks. This is where I went with Swedish Expeditions (that I […]

The models are incredibly detailed, and it’s clearly so that some people have way too much free time for hobbies. Photographed from the correct angles it’s hard to see that the depicted scenes are only […]
On my research group’s webpage we wrote about a visit we had from some students from the Radom High School of Art. The students, guided by their photography professor Weronika Elertowska, made their own salt prints. I just wanted to add a few more photos from the event that I […]
All saints’ day in Poland means millions of people visiting the cemeteries, adorning the graves with flowers and grave lights. The picture above was taken leaving the shutter open as I was walking past the local cemetery. A picture of graves at night. Note the grave in the centre. It’s […]
This time tbt takes us back a year – to a lovely autumn day… … and two years, to a day on the beach on more southerly latitudes.
This September it was ten years since I met my future wife at a Summer school in France. Because of this, the #tbt image is from one of our hiking trips in the mountains surrounding Grenoble. I wish I could remember what it was called, but I cannot find it […]
